Out of the Minds and Mouths of Babes...

"The baby fell!!" (Whit says as he comes running into the den while he's supposed to be picking out pjs.)

"What baby fell?"

"On my dresser!"

"Maggie's baby?" (they had all been playing in the room, so I thought maybe Maggie left a baby in their room).

"Yeth!"

"Well, can you take it an put it in Maggie' room?"

"Yeth!"

A few minutes later, Maggie comes into the den exclaiming... "This is the baby that Whit was talking about!..." (This picture in a frame that sits on Whit's dresser...)

This was taken the night Whit came home from the NICU - January 23, 2007.

We all remember the "bad boy buggy," right? Here is a reminder....

A few weeks ago, Corbett took the boys to our land in Devers for a ride on the new, made-over, golf cart. The boys were really excited about the trip. However, towards the end of the trip, it got stuck. I would've liked to have been a fly on the golf cart, because Corbett was pushing from behind while coaxing and directing the boys to push the pedal to make it go!

A few days ago, the boys were playing out on our back deck. Chap came running in to get his crocs. I asked him, "Whatcha doing?"

"I need to get my crocs so I can go work on the land!"

"Oh, really? What are you going to do on the land today?"

I am NOT going to get stuck like Daddy!"

At school last week, Maggie was to look through magazine clippings and pictures and choose one to write a story about. Maggie told me some of the pictures that she looked through (ranging from food pictures, 'monster' pictures, kids, clothes, etc.), before she found this one...

Here is her story to go with the picture...

Our New Reader

**updated 2-28-2010** (see below)

Maggie took over part of our bedtime routine, tonight...

And the boys loved every minute of it!

(Auntie, do you notice the first book of choice? Clip Clop! Still a favorite around our house)

**update**

If you've read the comments, this will make more sense.

I found the pictures, Katie... :) Auntie (aka, Jan) is holding Chap, Whit is still in the NICU, and Maggie is thoroughly enjoying Katie reading Clip Clop to her...

Loveable Moments

Always at the Post home... not just Valentine's Day!

Well, almost always! We do have our moments of sibling rivalry. We've been working on independence, aggression, and confidence with Maggie. The other day, Chap ran into her (accidentally - and hit her with a car). He immediately said, "Sorry, Maggie!" And then the tears came! Chap came running to me that Maggie had hit him back in the stomach. While good on one hand (there's that aggression we've been looking for), bad on the other. She did get punished, and yes - Chap did survive.... after all, she's not that aggressive! ;o)

Maggie earned a sucker at school the other day. She put it in her backpack, and kept it there until we got home. At that point, she said - Mommy could the boys have a lollipop, because I don't want to eat mine if they don't have one. Now... there's that love! She does love her brothers! We all went to her Valentine's Party after school the other day, and the pride that she showed when they walked in was priceless! She ran to them and gave them each a hug! She also hugs them each morning we drop them off... and tells them she'll be right down the hall if they need her (this is also a comfort for her).

Whit is not himself again... going through some down days, not much endurance and easily up-settable. Just this morning, he was crying, and Chap went over to him and said... "What's wrong 'Whittie?'" Whit couldn't really tell him what the heart of the matter was, but it was sure a matter of heart on Chap's part. Love really is in the air!

While we do have our moments of sibling rivalry, there are MANY MOMENTS OF LOVE!

True Colors

Their personalities really shine through in these videos. Please forgive their "PJ-ness"... we were getting ready for bed, and Maggie wanted to recite her Bible verse for me. So, I decided to flip video it. Then, the chain reaction started.... the boys wanted a turn. They each chose the song to sing - personalities shining! We are so proud of Maggie and her Bible verse! She has worked really hard at school to learn it, and the results are evident of her hard work!

Psalm 23:1-6

Maggie's 100th Day

Maggie had her 100th day of school today! As a part of the "celebration," she was to wear a t-shirt with "100 things" on it. When trying to come up with something to put on it, she said - "We could put 100 tags on it!" So, it stood... Maggie's 100 Taggies...

Flip N Out Fun

We recently went to have fun at Flip-N-Out. Chap used to be terrified to even place a foot in a bouncy, but has overcome his fear. He wasn't comfortable with the unstable footing that he felt. When he was about 1.5 or 2, he slipped in our garage and hit his head. For about 4 months, he would not walk on a kitchen or shiny floor... he would get on all fours and crawl very timidly. Thankfully, he no longer does that - and he JUMPS at fun places like this!

Whit has no fear, but there is a motorcycle (that if you put a quarter in, it'll go) - he'd rather just sit there and "drive" the entire time (thankfully without the quarters). We did get him off of it a few times to slide and jump.

Maggie - well, this could be one of her favorite places. She has a blast, and enjoys every minute of it.

A jumpin' good time!

Foseball fun!

Fun with Daddy...
