...and whiskers on kittens, bright colored petals, and warm woolen mittens... These are a few of Maria Von-Trap's favorite things.
However, around the Post house, it sounds more like this: Golf carts, Astros, Bulldozers, and School Supplies...
Well, it doesn't really rhyme -but that is what we've been up to. I'll start with the golf cart. We are proud (depending who you're talking to) new owners of an '87 golf cart. Corbett stumbled upon it, got a great deal, and just couldn't pass it up. A boy's gotta have his toys no matter how old he is, right? Maggie has gotten a ride on it, but the boys don't know about it yet. They are spending time with Pops and Bibs.
Next, Astros. We took Maggie and Chap to the Astros game on Friday night. They had a good time, and it was a long wait - but they got to enjoy Friday night fireworks.

Bulldozers... I'll just let you put words to this one...

And school supplies? Well, it has been done. Maggie and I had a Mommy/Daughter day and we spent it school shopping. I wasn't sure when I would have another opportunity without "the brothers." KINDERGARTEN? My baby girl is going to be in Kindergarten!! She is a little apprehensive - but mainly because it is something new. We have Kindergarten Orientation the first week in August, so hopefully a few butterflies in the tummy will dissolve (if not for her - then for me :o). I do think she is excited with all of her new things, though... (uniforms... well, that is a different story! - I'm still working on her with that. She is a bit bummed that her sundresses and "soft" clothes won't work.)
These are a few of our favorite things....
