Tidbit #1
Maggie is enjoying Upward Cheerleading on Tuesday nights. She received all of her "goodies" - uniform, pom-poms, megaphone, a pony-tail holder to match her uniform, AND an Upward Cheerleading magnet - FOR THE CAR! I oh so tried to talk Maggie into the idea that it is a REFRIGERATOR MAGNET. However, her little mind and heart just wouldn't have that. She was so proud of it, and thrilled of the idea that I had the opportunity to place it on my car... ehehm... swallow... my MINIVAN! Ugh... I'm really in the mini-van club, now, huh! The things we do for our kids... because we love them so dad-gum much! ;o)

The boys did a great job at their three year well visit on Tuesday. Chap is in the 65th percentile for weight, 75% for height, and is just right for his BMI (a new chart that they're plotted on at age 3). Whit, well, he still didn't make the chart... and since they stop measuring head circumference at three... he really didn't make the chart. Head circumference was always our sure fire thing. She was really impressed with Chap's pottying, and Whit's talking. We discussed all of the other "normal well visit issues" as well...
Tidbit #3
Maggie is adjusting well to her new school. She is always excited in the mornings, and eager to go to that school. I asked her today if she was ready to go back to Lawhon and she said... "NO WAY, MOM!" She is having a few "new school jitters" as she is adjusting to different schedules, rules, and routines. However, she is chipper in the evenings and enjoying life again... and her fingernails are growing back already!
Tidbit #4
We went to visit Santa tonight. Maggie and Chap were gung-ho about it all day long. Maggie carried her list of things: trampoline, art box, car seat w/ base for her babies, camera, and dress-up clothes complete w/ glass slippers and a wand. She sat in Santa's lap and confidently showed him her list. The boys immediately started crying when they saw him. We got the kodak moment just for memories sake. Chap did make sure he told Santa what he wanted (even though it was amidst fear and tears): a trampoline and Bob the Builder. Whit just stared and cried... not saying anything. As we were walking away, he stuttered out: "My car and my present!" I thought he was trying to tell Santa what he wanted. When we got home, he was saying "I missed my car and my present" (which conclude his wish-list). It hit me that he thought he would get them tonight when we saw Santa, and I didn't realize it until an hour later. Maggie stepped up and explained the entire process to him... we'll see if that stuck!
Tidbit #5
Chap was looking at an ornament on our tree today, and said... "Baby Jesus cried because there wasn't room for him!" Oh, the joys of Christmas!

Lloyd and I were always tempted to put the "My kid can whip your honor student kid's butt" bumper sticker on our car. Rude huh? Just look at the Upwards Cheerleading as an advertisement for Jesus! GO JESUS!!!!!
